True Cloud versus Hosted Cloud

Hosted cloud computer services may well have cloud-based capabilities and characteristics. However, these are not technically pure cloud or Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

The differences between true cloud and hosted cloud are fundamental and have an overall effect on value and usability.

True cloud software is built from the ground up, with special consideration given to its functionality and the integration of the internet built into the software architecture right from the start.
